I'm Breini Rosenbloom (Hi!) I've had an interest in drawing the Hebrew letters since I was a kid. I'd sit for hours with an open siddur, diligently copying each letter, intent on memorizing every angle and curve to perfection. By the time I was a teen I could distort the letters into all kinds of shapes and I began drawing monogram designs for people I knew. A perfectionist by nature, I enjoy taking mediocre and making it fabulous. I'd see amateur, child-like sketches of monogram designs on invitations and think, "What potential! I need to fix this!" and I'd polish those primitive scrawls till they shone.
In the late '90s, when the web was just getting popular, I was the first Hebrew monogram designer to put up a website. It was simple but functional. And I became a businesswoman overnight. From my home office (then in New York, now Chicago), I serviced clients in Switzerland, Australia, Brazil, Israel, South Africa and all over the states. I drew designs for synagogues, rabbis, Judaica, weddings, bar and bas mitzvahs, stationery, family names, schools, and more.
A particularly meaningful design I made was for a mom whose son had passed away. Her name was Abby/Aviva and her son was Jason/Yosef. Her rabbi commissioned it as a gift for her in memory of her dear son. On a happier note, I am the proud designer of the letters on the unique aron kodesh design at Chabad of Orlando.
More recently, I've been drawing designs for embroidery on Judaica items like Tefillin bags, and synagogue adornments such as this embroidered design on the bima cover at Chabad of Prague. I also have a unique selection of inspirational letter-art prints available for purchase.
I've dabbled in the English logos as well and have made some impressive designs but my passion lies in the Hebrew letters.
Starting an organization? Writing a Sefer Torah? Have an occasion coming up? A gift you want to give? You don't want mediocre. Make it personal. Make it meaningful.
Drop me a line and we can discuss your project.
